About Pastor Johnson
Pastor Robert Johnson has been the Senior Pastor of Grace Community Church since 2008, leading our congregation with biblical wisdom and pastoral care.
He is passionate about expository preaching, believing that faithful exposition of God’s Word is essential for spiritual growth and church health.
Before joining Grace Community Church, Pastor Johnson served for 12 years as Associate Pastor at First Baptist Church of Springfield, where he developed his heart for pastoral ministry and biblical teaching. His preaching style is characterized by clear biblical exposition, practical application, and a genuine love for God’s people.

- Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies – Liberty University (1993)

Ministry Philosophy

The Johnson Family
Pastor Johnson has been married to his wife Jenny for 28 years. Jenny serves actively in the women’s ministry and coordinates the church’s meal ministry for families in need. They have three adult children: Michael (26), who serves as a missionary in Guatemala; Rebecca (24), who teaches elementary school; and David (21), who is studying business at the state university. The Johnson family enjoys hiking, reading, and hosting church members in their home.
